【未来へ向かうまなざし】
11月20日の例会は、普段の例会とは少し違う、
胸がじんわりと熱くなる時間となりました。
　
この日の卓話は、
川崎中原ロータリークラブが受け入れている米山奨学生、
吴 景亮（ご・けいりょう）さん。
　
テーマは、
「私の歩みと未来への架け橋」
　
中国から日本へ、
そして学問への挑戦へと続く彼の歩みには、
たくさんの困難や選択があり、
その一つひとつに誠実さと努力が込められていました。
　
　
【一歩一歩、積み重ねてきた道】
　
吴さんは現在、大学院修士課程に在籍し、
研究に真摯に向き合いながら、
米山奨学生として地域の行事や奉仕活動にも積極的に参加しています。
　
言語の壁、文化の違い、家族から遠く離れた生活——
それらを越えてたどり着いた“今”。
　
第33回　日本地方財政全国大会で研究成果を発表。
日本地方財政学会研究叢書に投稿し採用。
それまでの人脈を生かして、日中財政研究会の設立。
そして日中学術交流プラットフォームを創設。

その背景にある努力の量、
そして支えてくれた人たちへの深い感謝が、
言葉に滲んでいました。

彼の話す一つひとつが、
まるで自分のことのように胸に響く時間でした。

【米山奨学生として、そして未来の架け橋として】
　
吴さんはこう語りました。
　
——「私は米山奨学生として、
　　日本と中国の架け橋になりたい。
　　学びを未来に返していきたい。」
　
その言葉は、単なる抱負ではなく、
今を生きる若者の、真剣で清らかな覚悟そのものでした。
　
私たち川崎中原ロータリークラブにとって、
吴さんを受け入れていることは誇りであり、
彼の成長を間近で見守れることは大きな喜びです。
　
例会の会場は、
まさに“未来へつながる瞬間”が生まれた場所となりました。
　
　
【クラブからのエール】
最後に井元雄一会長が、静かに、しかし力強くエールを送りました。
　
「世界で最も難しい日本語をこのように自在に使いこなすこともとても大変な努力だったと思います。ユニークで力強いあなたの歩みは、必ず未来を照らす架け橋になる。私たちはいつでも応援しています。」
　
この日の例会は、ロータリークラブが行っている浄財の寄付行為、青少年の支援、国際奉仕活動、米山奨学生の存在がいかにロータリーに希望をもたらしているのかを改めて実感する、温かいひとときとなりました。

【A Glimpse Toward the Future】
The November 20th meeting was unlike our usual gatherings—
it became a warm, heartfelt moment that touched everyone present.

Our guest speaker for the day was
Mr. Wu Jingliang, a Yoneyama Scholar welcomed by the Kawasaki Nakahara Rotary Club.

His theme:
“My Journey and a Bridge to the Future.”

From China to Japan,
and from daily life to the pursuit of advanced academic research—
his journey has been filled with challenges, choices, and perseverance.
Each step has been shaped by sincerity and tireless effort.

【Step by Step, Building His Path】
Mr. Wu is currently enrolled in a master’s program,
devoting himself to research while actively participating
in community events and Rotary-related service as a Yoneyama Scholar.

Language barriers, cultural differences,
and life far from his family—
he has faced all of these and still pressed forward.

His accomplishments include:
• Presenting his research at the 33rd Japan Conference on Local Public Finance
• Publishing in the Japan Association of Local Public Finance Studies Research Series
• Using his personal network to establish the Japan–China Fiscal Research Association
• Creating a Japan–China Academic Exchange Platform

Behind each achievement lies tremendous effort
and deep gratitude toward those who have supported him.

Every word he spoke seemed to resonate within us,
as if we were reliving his journey together.

【A Yoneyama Scholar, and a Bridge Between Nations】
Mr. Wu shared his heartfelt aspiration:

“As a Yoneyama Scholar,
I want to become a bridge between Japan and China.
I want to give back what I have learned to the future.”

These were not merely hopes,
but the genuine and pure determination of a young man
living earnestly in the present.

For us at the Kawasaki Nakahara Rotary Club,
it is an honor to support Mr. Wu,
and a joy to witness his growth up close.

The meeting room truly became
a place where “a moment leading toward the future” was born.

【An Encouragement from the Club】
At the end, President Yuichi Imoto offered a quiet yet powerful message of support:

“Being able to master the Japanese language—
one of the most difficult languages in the world—
must have taken extraordinary effort.
Your unique and determined journey will surely become
a bridge that lights the way to the future.
We will always be here to support you.”

This meeting reminded us of the true essence of Rotary—
the generosity of charitable giving,
the support for youth,
international understanding,
and the hope brought by the Yoneyama Scholarship program.

It was a warm and inspiring moment that reaffirmed
how Rotary’s work can illuminate the future of young people and the world.
